A brand new 5G android BlackBerry smartphone with a physical keyboard is arriving soon
On Tuesday, The BlackBerry keyboard ousted by touch screens will go on in a brand new 5G smartphone scheduled for release in the coming year, in accordance with the deal announced.
OnwardMobility, which is a Texas-based company will together work with Foxconn Technology Group, an ancillary on a BlackBerry smartphone driven by Android software and customized for 5G networks, the companies stated in a joint release.
Earlier this year, BlackBerry declared that TCL, a Chinese electronics group will no more have the right to design, produce, or sell its smartphones until the end of August.
This brand new smartphone will be launched in Europe and North America and the design will mainly be focused to attract the growing number of people who are working remotely, in accordance with the release.
“Enterprise professionals are eager for secure 5G devices that enable productivity, without sacrificing the user experience,” stated, Peter Franklin, chief executive of OnwardMobility.
He further added, “BlackBerry smartphones are known for protecting communications, privacy, and data.”
Franklin further added that the agreement would “deliver a new 5G Android BlackBerry smartphone with a physical keyboard.”
BlackBerry’s quota of the universal smartphone market has dropped to virtually zero since it controlled the market with its keyboard design ten years ago.
The growth of Apple’s iOS and Android-powered smartphones with touchscreens suggested BlackBerry to leave the market to focus on software and services.
BlackBerry, located in Canada, licensed its smartphone technology to TCL in the year 2016 in an unsuccessful effort to revitalize its fates.
On Tuesday, the agreement declared provides OnwardMobility the right to develop, engineer, and market a BlackBerry 5G mobile device.
FIH Mobile, an ancillary of Foxconn, a Taiwan-based, is to design and manufacture the new phone.
